The town of Glenrothes turns 70 this Saturday, June 30th, and community group Go Glenrothes are having a party to celebrate at Warout Stadium.
There will be a free family fun element, but hurry, the wristbands have been flying out, you can still grab the last remainder at Glenrothes70.co.uk
An all day live music section (open noon – 10pm), including the town’s very own Sergeant, is ONLY £15 with the added bonus of children under 14 going free when accompanied by an adult. Some tickets will be available on the day but can also be purchased at Glenrothes70.co.uk
Directly opposite the stadium another event will be running simultaneously which will include many local organisations along with the army, fire brigade, falconry, Peachy Keen with their eco friendly energy machines, the 89th Scouts and much more.
Altany Craik from Fife Council reiterated the fantastic local business support shown by Kingdom Shopping Centre, Semefab, BoschRexroth, Easy Living Developments, Altmore, Babcock, Fife Council, The John Muir Group and Advance Construction Scotland, amongst others, saying, “Without these fantastic and generous local businesses we would have been unable to host this day, especially the +2500 free wristbands allocated for children to enjoy, or this fantastic value music event.”
Mike Mowat from Go Glenrothes added, “We hope people have a wonderful day and also enjoy all the many other GR70 events planned for the rest of the year. 2018 gives us an opportunity to invigorate a fresh, new community spirit which we hope to develop going forward for the people of Glenrothes”
